120th Annual Joyner's Campground Meeting
July 21-28

Joyner's Campground will celebrate the 120th camp meeting on July 21- 28, 2013. It promises to be another year of being called to worship by a bull's horn, playing in the creek, and defending the bragging rights for volleyball.

We have a great week planned with Rev. Gregory Waldrup, pastor of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church in Paducah, KY, as the guest preacher for the week.

The Sunday Service schedule is as follows;

Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. and the worship service begins at 11:00 a.m.
Bible study will be Monday through Friday at 10:45 a.m. with children and youth activities throughout the week.
Evening worship will be held at 7:45 p.m., Sunday through Saturday, with family activities following the evening service throughout the week.

The "Hotel" will be serving meals on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:40 - 7:30. Please send your reservations to Barbara Garnett, (901) 465-4225 or Cindy Pattat, (901) 465-5893, no later than July 18th.

A Fayette County landmark, Joyner's Campground has been meeting every year since Rev. Robert Venable Taylor, a Methodist preacher, began campground 9 miles north of Somerville in 1892. Today, fifth and sixth generation families still move into their cabins on the campground every July for a week of good preaching and singing, just as their parents and grandparents did before them.

You are invited to join them.
