Kay C. Alexander THE FAYETTE FALCON Wednesday, November 9, 2005 The vocational division of Fayette-Ware High School honored Ms. Kay Alexander, Monday, October 1, at the beginning of each period with a few caring words, a moment of silence and the song "I Can Only Imagine". She will be dearly missed by her work family and students who had the opportunity to be taught by her. Her students were very important to her and she helped them to succeed in every way she possibly could. Ms. Alexander started teaching at Fayette-Ware HighSchool in August of 1988 and taught until she had to retire because of pancreas cancer in January, 2004. She fought her illness long and hard, until she passed away Friday, October 28, at Baptist East Hospital. In Kay's early years, she was raised in the Dancyville community, here she remained a member of the Dancyville United Methodist Church. She was currently residing in Eads and is survived by her sons, Charles Alexander, Jr. of Memphis and Bill Alexander, his wife, Wendy, and their 2 children, Madison (Madi) and Will, of Germantown. Our Prayers go out to her family whom she loved dearly and was her number one priority. Visitation will be held at the Memphis Funeral Home Poplar from 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 18. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 19, at the Memphis Funeral Home with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
