Dead at 59
Mrs. George E. Baucum, 59, of 601 N. Brewer St., died Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Henry County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. B.B. James officiating.
Before her death, Mrs. Baucum requested no flowers be sent for the funeral.
A Paris native, she was born June 14, 1912, a daughter of the late W.E. and Mary Claxton Blackwood. She was married to George E. Baucum on June 27, 1942, and he survives, She was a former employee of Salant's and Paris Manufacturing, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. H.B. Paschall of Tucson; a son, James (Buddy) Dancy of Logansport, Ind.; a sister of Humboldt, and five grandchildren. A brother, Roger Blackwood, died in 1943.
Pallbearers will be William T. Bledsoe, Ed Etheridge, Joe Koefelda, J.P. Neese, Burton Keenan and Frank Provine.
