Nancy Blackwood

In Memory

Mrs. Nancy Blackwood died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sid Nichols on January 6, 1909, at the age of 78 years. She received injuries from a fall some four weeks ago from which she never recovered. She professed faith in Christ and joined the church at the age of 20, and was a true, devoted Christian and loyal to her Savior. She lived, worked and had her being in a smaller sphere than some with greater facilities that complete and replete with convincing Christian traits. Her last days were spent in close touch with God, filled with prayer, thanks and rejoicing, talking much about her certainty of the heavenly abode. She left one sister, five sons and two daughters and many friends to mourn her death. She was buried at the Barber¹ Burying Ground, by undertaker Spicer, with funeral by the writer.

J. A. Baucum

¹ Barber/Barbee Cemetery, Henry County Tennessee.
