Boswell Funeral Held in
Memphis DeWitt Boswell, 86, of Macon died Wednesday, February 22, 1967, at Morris Clinic in Somerville, Tennessee. Services were held Thursday morning at Memphis Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Tripp conducted the rites. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. Mr. Boswell was a member of one of the pioneer families of Fayette County. He was born and reared at Macon, where he was engaged in the mercantile business for a half century. He retired about 15 years ago. He had been in declining health for a year and had been hospitalized for three weeks prior to his death. He was a Methodist. His wife, Mrs. Ola Boswell, preceded him n death seven years ago. She was a member of the Hughes family of the Dancyville area. At the time of her marriage to Mr. Boswell, she was a teacher in the Macon school. Mr. Boswell is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lucille B. Murphey of Macon, Mrs. Estelle Dorr of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Anne Eubanks of McAlister, Okla., and a number of nieces and nephews. |
