MARY GRAHAM SCHULZ, devoted homemaker, caregiver, former Sunday School Teacher and wife of the late Barton B. Schulz, died at 3:45 A. M. Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Crestview Health Care Center in Brownsville, TN where she had resided for one month.  She was 89 years of age and died following a two-month illness.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Schulz were conducted at 2 P.M., Thursday, October 9th at the Dancyville United Methodist Church with Dr. Paul Williams, of Jackson, TN. retired Minister of the Somerville First Baptist Church officiating. He was assisted by Dr. Frank Crawford, Pastor of the Somerville First Baptist Church.  Interment followed in the Dancyville United Methodist Church Cemetery.   Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.
    Mrs. Schulz was born May 11. 1919 in Shelby County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ralph Graham and the late Ora Webber Graham.  She was educated in the Memphis City School System and continued her education at the former Memphis Normal Teacher's College.  She was married November 23, 1939 to Barton Brown Schulz, a West Tennessee Architect and a World War II Veteran, who died in May of 1997.
    Mrs. Schulz was a devoted Christian throughout her life and was a faithful member of the Somerville First Baptist Church for many years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and as a member of the Community Bible Study Group.   She had been a resident of the Haywood-Fayette County areas for the past 51 years and attended the Dancyville United Methodist Church in the later years.
    She was a faithful caregiver throughout her life and will be remembered for her ever-present smile and love for her family, friends, church and community.
    Survivors of Mrs. Schulz include her daughter, Kay Reynolds (Robert) of Somerville; two sons, Bart Schulz of Memphis and David Schulz (Jackie) of Springfield, SC; her sister, Martha Gilley of Atlanta, GA; her brother Edgar Graham of Memphis and four grandchildren: Ashley Schulz, Matthew Schulz, Daniel Reynolds and Bob Reynolds, Jr.
    Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Jack Berressem, Edgar Graham, Irwin Graham, H. Ralph Graham, Rob Graham, Jerry Hunter and Bart Schulz.
    Honorary casketbearers were Willie German, Bob Reynolds, Bob Reynolds, Jr. Dan Reynolds, Darrell Thomas and Mrs. Schulz's nephews.
    The family request that Memorials be directed to the Dancyville United Methodist Church.
