JONES ~ ROGERS  FARM  GATE

This farm gate commemorates the farm that was part of an original  land grant given to a Coppedge
ancestor. It is not known how many acres were in the original grant but Edward Rogers owns
about 80 acres now. The Moore Family owns part of it as well. It has been in the family
continuously, with the exception of about ten years, prior to 1890. It was sold when the family fell
on hard times but they were able to buy it back.
