WILL OF HENRY KERR
"Exhibit B"
State of Tennessee
Giles County March 1856 I Henry Kerr of the said county & state aforesaid being of sound mind & memory do make and Probate my last will and testament here by revoking and making void all other wills made by me at any time.
I give my soul to god who gave it and my Body to its mother dust.
First I have given to my Son William P. Kerr the following property to wit: One Negro girl named Betty also land and other property and one hundred dollars in cash which he has received all of which I allow to be his part of my Estate.
2nd I have given to my son Francis B. Kerr the following property to wit: one Negro Boy named John land and other property and one hundred dollars in Cash which he has received all of which I allow to be his part of my Estate.
3rd. I have given to my Daughter Lucinda Mckenzey the following the following property to wit: One Negro girl named Mary with other property and one hundred dollars in cash which her heirs has received which I allow to be her part of my Estate.
4th I have given my son Isaac P. Kerr the following property to wit: One Negro Boy named Manuel and other property & land & one hundred dollars in cash which he has received which I allow to be his part of my Estate.
5th I loan my property of every description to my beloved wife Mary Kerr during her lifetime or Widowhood land and all my stock household & Kitchen furniture-But any time She my advance to her three children James H Kerr, Nancy A. Ezell and John W. Kerr so She makes them Equal advancements and at the death o my beloved Wife Mary Kerr I direct that my Estate be Equally divided between James W. Kerr, Nancy Ann Ezell and John W. Kerr.
6th the property or money that my beloved wife Mary Kerr inherited from her Fathers Estate and money made by her I acknowledge to be hers Separate Estate Amounting to Thirty five hundred dollars more or less I leave that for her to do as she pleases with.
7th hereby nominate and appoint Casey Gilbert, William S. Ezell and John W. Kelly Executors to this my last will and testament.
