T.F. Ragland (November 30, 1842-September 19, 1863)

T.F. Ragland was a Lieutenant in Company L, 9th Tennessee Infantry, organized at Dancyville, March 1862,
and mustered in at Cornith, Mississippi.T.F. was Killed at the battle of Chickamauga.

He is probably the only Civil War death casualty  buried in Dancyville United Methodist Cemetery.
His father sent his man servant for the body to be returned for burial in the home cemetery. We are sure most folks
know  it was normal for CSA veterans to be buried where the battle occurred, often in mass graves, presuming
they were buried at all.
